About us

We Are the Best at making premium organic compost

Here at Deep Roots Compost we strive to make the highest quality compost you’ll find anywhere. We source our ingredients from only trusted places where we personally know the owners and their ingredients. We use horse manure, straw, hay and pine shavings. All organic and all the highest quality we can find. We then turn this dry organic materials into rich humus using our proprietary method using biodynamic preparations and lots of water and 4-6 turns of the piles with a minumum of 140 degrees to kill any pathogens that might be in the manure. The mix ratio is about 70% pine shavings, 10% manure, 10% straw and 10% hay. The finished product is then cured for a few weeks to multiply the microrganisms more and cool the temps down to normal.

How We Work

Deep Roots compost works great for veggie gardens, raised beds or in the ground gardens, flower beds, tree planting or amending as a fertilizer supplement, lawn fertilizing and sod prep or a great potting soil if you mix in a bit of bark or perlite. We have quite a few returning customers coming back year after year. We have been in business since 2015 and continue to improve our processes and make even higher quality compost. This is all we do here at Deep Roots and our sole focus is to make premium compost that delivers amazing results for our customers. We want you coming back every year for more! It all started when we couldn’t find any good compost at the big box stores in bags or even at Hasties or a few other landscaping yards. They all seem to source bad ingredients that make more dirt than compost and doesn’t deliver good results in fact many of our customers talk about how nothing grew or did horribly until they tried our compost and we love to see the pics from our customers gardens and yards!
